Terms & Conditions
The terms that govern your use of coastplate.ca, our product information, quote requests, and related services.
Welcome to CoastPlate. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, products, quote request forms, product information, and related services.
By using this website, submitting a quote request, contacting us, or purchasing products or services from CoastPlate, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use this website.
1. About CoastPlate
CoastPlate is a restaurant supply business providing food service products, disposable packaging, containers, cups, lids, gloves, bags, napkins, and related restaurant supply items.
Our website is intended to help customers view product categories, learn about our business, contact us, and request quotes. Unless clearly stated otherwise, the website is not a final checkout system and does not create an automatic purchase contract by itself.
2. Website Use
You may use this website for lawful personal or business purposes only.
You agree not to:
- use the website for illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or misleading activity;
- attempt to access private files, server files, source code, admin areas, databases, or restricted parts of the website;
- interfere with the website's security, availability, or performance;
- submit false, abusive, spam, or misleading information through our forms;
- copy, scrape, reproduce, or commercially reuse website content without permission;
- upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or unauthorized scripts;
- impersonate another person, business, or organization.
We may restrict access, block requests, remove submissions, or refuse service if we believe the website is being misused.
3. Product Information
We try to keep product information accurate and up to date. However, product details may change at any time, including but not limited to: product availability; case quantity; size; dimensions; colour; material; packaging; supplier availability; pricing; delivery availability; product images; and specifications.
Product images are provided for reference only. Actual products may look slightly different from the images shown on the website due to supplier updates, lighting, packaging changes, screen settings, or product variations.
Before relying on any product information, you should confirm the exact product details with CoastPlate.
4. Quotes and Pricing
Any quote requested through the website is not final until confirmed directly by CoastPlate.
Submitting a quote request does not guarantee: product availability; a specific price; delivery availability; order acceptance; reserved inventory; a confirmed delivery date; or any discount or promotion.
Prices may change without notice due to supplier pricing, shipping costs, inventory changes, currency changes, market conditions, taxes, or other business factors.
A quote becomes valid only when CoastPlate confirms it in writing. Unless stated otherwise, quotes may expire or be withdrawn at any time before acceptance.
5. Orders
An order is not accepted until CoastPlate confirms it directly.
We may refuse, cancel, or limit any order for reasons including but not limited to: product unavailability; incorrect product or pricing information; suspected fraud or abuse; delivery restrictions; unpaid invoices; supplier delays; minimum order requirements; errors in customer information; or operational limitations.
If an order has already been paid and we cannot fulfill it, we will contact you to discuss replacement options, store credit, refund options, or cancellation, depending on the situation and applicable law.
6. Minimum Orders
Some products or deliveries may require minimum order quantities, minimum purchase amounts, case-pack requirements, or location-based delivery minimums. Any minimum order requirements will be confirmed before the order is finalized.
7. Payment Terms
Payment terms may vary depending on the customer, order size, product type, delivery method, and business relationship.
Unless CoastPlate agrees otherwise in writing, payment may be required before delivery, pickup, or order release. For approved business accounts, invoices must be paid according to the payment terms stated on the invoice or agreed in writing.
Late, failed, disputed, or unpaid payments may result in order delays, cancelled orders, suspended service, or refusal of future orders.
8. Taxes
Applicable taxes, including GST, PST, or other required taxes, may be added to orders unless otherwise stated. Customers are responsible for paying all applicable taxes connected to their purchase.
9. Delivery and Pickup
Delivery and pickup options may depend on: customer location; order size; product availability; delivery schedule; weather; traffic; supplier delays; staffing; building access; loading restrictions; and other operational conditions.
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless CoastPlate specifically confirms otherwise in writing.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information, including business name, address, unit number, contact name, phone number, delivery instructions, and access details.
CoastPlate is not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect information, restricted access, missed communication, unsafe delivery conditions, or events outside our reasonable control.
10. Risk of Loss and Product Inspection
Customers should inspect products as soon as possible after receiving them. Any missing, damaged, incorrect, or defective items should be reported to CoastPlate within a reasonable time after delivery or pickup, preferably within 24–48 hours.
Please keep all packaging, photos, labels, and order information so we can review the issue. We may request photos, product codes, packaging details, or other information before approving a replacement, credit, refund, or return.
11. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges
Returns, refunds, and exchanges are handled case by case.
Because many restaurant supply products are food-service-related, disposable, sanitary, bulk-packed, or supplier-controlled, some items may not be returnable once opened, used, damaged, contaminated, custom ordered, special ordered, or delivered.
Returned products, if accepted, must usually be: unused; unopened; in original packaging; in resellable condition; returned within the approved time period; and approved by CoastPlate before being returned.
CoastPlate may refuse returns that are opened, damaged, incomplete, expired, custom ordered, special ordered, or not suitable for resale. Any refund, credit, exchange, or replacement must be approved by CoastPlate and may be subject to applicable restocking, delivery, or supplier fees, where permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Product Suitability
Customers are responsible for confirming that products are suitable for their intended use. This includes checking: size; material; temperature tolerance; food compatibility; lid/container compatibility; durability; storage requirements; intended use; local business requirements; and health and safety requirements.
CoastPlate may provide general product information, but it is the customer's responsibility to choose products that fit their business, food items, equipment, and use case.
13. Food Safety and Handling
CoastPlate may sell products used in food service, but we are not responsible for how customers store, handle, use, clean, transport, or dispose of those products after delivery or pickup.
Customers are responsible for following all applicable food safety, health, sanitation, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements that apply to their business.
14. Website Forms and Communications
When you submit a quote request, contact form, email, or other message to CoastPlate, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and that we may use it to respond to your request, prepare quotes, communicate about products or services, and manage customer service.
You agree not to submit false, spam, abusive, harmful, or misleading information through our website. We are not responsible for messages that are delayed, blocked, filtered, misdirected, or not received due to technical issues, email filtering, incorrect contact information, or third-party service problems.
15. Email and Marketing Communications
If you provide your email address or phone number, we may use it to respond to your inquiry, provide quotes, discuss orders, send service-related messages, or communicate about products or services where permitted by law.
We will not intentionally send promotional electronic messages where consent is required unless we have the required consent or another legal basis to do so. Marketing emails, if used, should identify CoastPlate and include a way to unsubscribe where required by law.

We aim to use product content responsibly and only where we have permission, authorization, or a reasonable business basis to do so. If you believe any content on our website infringes your rights, please contact us at info@coastplate.com with details of the concern, and we will review it.
20. Accuracy of Website Content
We make reasonable efforts to keep the website accurate, but we do not guarantee that all content is always complete, current, error-free, or uninterrupted. 23. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CoastPlate and its owners, employees, contractors, suppliers, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or business losses arising from or related to: use of the website; inability to use the website; product availability; delivery delays; incorrect information submitted by customers; third-party services; product misuse; lost profits; lost revenue; lost business opportunities; loss of data; interruption of business; website errors; or reliance on website content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim related to a product or service is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
24. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CoastPlate and its owners, employees, contractors, suppliers, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from: your misuse of the website; your breach of these Terms; false or inaccurate information you provide; your violation of law; your misuse, resale, storage, handling, or improper use of products; or your infringement of another person's rights.
25. Force Majeure
CoastPlate is not responsible for delays, failures, or inability to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: supplier delays; shipping delays; labour shortages; weather; road closures; fire; flood; power outages; internet outages; cyber incidents; pandemics; government restrictions; customs delays; strikes; emergencies; natural disasters; or acts of God.
26. Changes to Products, Services, and Terms
We may update products, services, website content, pricing, policies, and these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms and any dispute related to this website, products, services, quotes, or orders are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
29. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact CoastPlate and attempt to resolve the issue informally. 30. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
31. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written quote, invoice, or order confirmation provided by CoastPlate, form the agreement between you and CoastPlate regarding your use of the website and related products or services.
